The Role

Job details:

· Researching sponsorships, other VC funds/angel investors, meetups/networking events, prospective investments and a variety of other potential market opportunities for Quake using Google, LinkedIn, F6S, Gust, AngelList and other online tools.

· Maintaining well-organized and easy-to-read directories and lists using Google Sheets. Organizing and maintaining Quake’s Google Drive folders and ensuring all documents are easy to find quickly when needed.

· Attending meetups and networking events to discuss Quake’s programs with founders and other investors.

· Completely managing and organizing Quake’s blog—writing and editing articles, coming up with themes and topics relevant to Quake and the VC/entrepreneurship spaces, coordinating with team members to ensure that posts are widely promoted and read.

· Maintaining orderly schedules and task lists for the rest of the team: scheduling meetings, ensuring there are no conflicts, keeping track of all team members’ tasks and deliverables using Google Calendar and Trello.

· Reaching out to potential corporate sponsors, investors, seed and early stage companies and other opportunities through email and messaging on online platforms.

· Writing press releases about Quake’s programs and activities and working with our PR company to ensure that they are published quickly and accurately.

Start date: Tuesday, May 30th (flexible).

End date: TBD—high achieving associates are welcome to stay on part-time for the fall semester.

This is an unpaid opportunity.

The Skills

Required qualifications:

· Current undergraduate Freshman or Sophomore

· Ability to work at least 30 hours per week in Quake’s Battery Park offices (any additional tasks can be completed remotely if desired). Specific hours are flexible.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)

· Excellent organizational and time management skills, highly detail-oriented

· Knowledge of and experience with using Google Drive (Docs and Sheets)

· Interest in and basic knowledge of the venture capital and entrepreneurship spaces

· Friendly, collaborative and social personality

Preferred, but not required, qualifications:

· Past experience in entrepreneurship, either as a founder or working in a startup environment

· Past experience with research and/or administrative work
